Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin Le Régulateur Time Eater

Earlier this year, Swiss watch brand Louis Erard collaborated with the master watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin to create the “Time Eater”.
 
Chaykin has created a series of “Wristmons”, imaginatively using faces to tell the time. This piece, combined with Louis Erard’s Le Régulateur model, depicts a cyclops with a rotating hour disc as the eye, and a rotating saw-shaped mouth. A hand-shaped minute hand points to minute markers on a green ring around the wavy silver dial. 
 
The watch is set in an easy-to-wear 42mm steel case. Through an exhibition case back you can view the Swiss-made Sellita SW266-1 automatic movement. 
 
The watch is paired with a black toad leather strap, highlighted with green stitching and a green rabbit leather lining. The strap is fitted with quick-release spring bars, meaning the wearer can easily swap between straps.

This eye-catching piece is limited to just 178 pieces, and has been celebrated with a GPHG Official Nomination.
