MB&F M.A.D. 1 Red

Max Busser is renowned for creating horological masterpieces, pushing the boundaries of engineering and design. However, for many years his MB&F creations could only be enjoyed by those who could afford the price tag that came with these pieces. That was, until the M.A.D. 1 was created in 2022.
 
This striking watch, much like many Max Busser designs, is nothing like any watches that have come before it. In place of a usual watch dial, the top of the watch displays the automatic Miyota movement, featuring a modified rotor weight generously decorated with luminous spinning blades.
 
Instead, the time can be read by an indicator at 6 o’clock, pointing to an hour and minute ring - the numbers also lumed for legibility in low light.
 
A red movement holder is visible through the expansive crystal, with a simple “M.A.D.1” at 6 o’clock. A steel shaped case back secures four floating lugs and also features the slogan “It’s a M.A.D. world”.
 
With that slogan in mind, this isn’t really a watch for those who love classical watchmaking, but more for those who appreciatedaring design and something a little different. And for those who want to own a Max Busser watch, without the five-digit price tag.
 
We are excited to present this watch in an excellent pre-owned condition, showing very little signs of wear. It comes with a black leather and rubber strap, highlighted with red stitching, fitted with a steel folding clasp. And also supplied is its original box including a MAD lume torch.
