Omega Constellation Automatic

Omega Constellation Automatic

Omega first started producing the Constellation in the 1950’s, however this re-designed “Manhattan” was released 40 years later in 1985.

It gives a sporty spin on a much-loved dress watch. The dial remain relatively simple with it’s applied indices, easy-to-read minute track, and a date window at 3 o’clock. The decoration comes from the steel bezel, featuring roman numerals and four “claws”.

A brushed finish and integrated bracelet gives the watch a sporty feel, yet with a diameter of 35mm and height of just 7.4mm it’s extremely comfortable to wear.

This watch also features an exhibition case back which is very rarely seen on Manhattan’s from this era. You can appreciate Omega’s calibre 1110 automatic movement, based on the much-loved ETA 2892-2. Furthermore, this movement has been recently serviced and as such we are pleased to supply the watch with a 12-month warranty.

The case is in a very good condition, showing some evidence of wear consistent with its age. Some evidence of aging is also starting to appear on the dial, resulting a beautiful “duck-egg” speckling.

This rare watch really is quite charming and will make a wondeful addition to any watch collection.
