Rolex Explorer II

Rolex Explorer II

The Rolex Explorer has its origins deeply rooted as the go-to watch for adventurers. The first “Pre-Explorer” accompanied Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay on their successful mission to become the first to reach the summit of Mount Everest in 1952.

The Rolex Explorer II was born in 1971 as an addition to the Rolex sports watch collection, featuring a 24-hour bezel and 24-hour hand. Its sturdy steel case and legible dial were not only suitable for explorers but also those wishing to discover the oceans too.

Today, this reference 216570 still has the traits of its predecessors. The 42mm steel case is water resistant to 100m and features a Twinlock crown for increased waterproofness. The polar white dial has proven to be more popular than the black dial version, and is highlighted with an orange 24-hour hand. Rolex’s “Chromalight” luminescent glows blue in low light.

Powering the watch is a Calibre 3187 automatic movement, offering an 50 hours of power reserve.

We are excited to present this 2019 watch in an excellent condition, supplied with its full set of box and papers, including a Rolex warranty to May 2024.
