A round-up of 2025 at Watch Concierge Services

What a year it’s been! After writing a piece for the final newsletter of the year, I thought it might be nice to create a blog to round-up the past twelve months, giving you an insight into my personal highlights.

For me, I’ve always said that watches are great, but the people are really what it’s all about. This little business has allowed me to meet the most interesting and passionate watch enthusiasts, each with their own story.

I could call it ‘networking’, although its hardly work, but as someone once said, I love an event and “would go along to the opening of an envelope”. There are too many to name, but if I were to pick a handful, I loved the energy at The British Watchmakers’ Day and I had the best time with Norqain at Soccer Aid. I was kindly invited to Newcastle for the re-opening of Northern Goldsmiths, and I had so much fun playing padel with Certina. And then there were the Time + Tide events…

I mentioned in my newsletter that the industry lacked excitement first quarter of the year, so for some additional income over the usually quiet summer months, I took on a part time job at the Time + Tide London Studio. It’s been such a wonderful experience and showed me that people’s love for watches was still alive and kicking, even if buyers were being a little more careful with their cash.

Working at the Studio allowed me to grow my knowledge of microbrands, and work at some of their amazing events. And the team are the best people that I’ve ever worked with, all so passionate and friendly. You must visit if you’ve not yet been or come back again if

you have.

However, the summer wasn’t as quiet for WCS as I had expected and July and September were fantastic months for sales. Things continued to remain busy with plenty more watches coming in, and November 2025 was the biggest month that my little business has ever had.

I had the pleasure of selling some very special watches, such as the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Chronograph and two Moritz Grossmann watches (at the time of writing, there are two still available). There have been beautiful vintage pieces, rare limited edition watches, easy-to-wear Omega and Tudors, much-loved icons and fun independent watchmakers. Ones that sold within days of being listed, and ones that really made me work hard and come up with new ideas and ways of selling.

It would have been a lot harder without the wonderful network of contacts and watchmakers that I have, and for that I am forever grateful. People who can offer advise at the end of the phone, and trusted watchmakers who can work on the most special vintage watches or high-value pieces. And I have the most fantastic clients too, who entrust me with their watches, and their money.

I’ve been able to host a few events this year, bringing together this lovely network of people, and I hope to hold more events next year. There are plans to grow my little business, stock more watches (so get in touch if you have a watch that you’re looking to sell) and expand our offering of accessories. There’s also something really quite big in the pipeline, allowing clients and friends of WCS to utilise our ever-growing network. Watch this space.

The values of Watch Concierge Services will always remain the same, assisting with any watch-related query. There have been some random ones this year, so don’t hesitate to get in touch and together we tick off some of those horological to-dos.

So, I’ll wrap up this post with a big thank you! To everyone who has bought or sold a watch through WCS, has entrusted me with a repair, who has left a review, liked an Instagram post or recommended me to a friend, it really means so much to me. I love being able to do what I do and can’t imagine ever doing anything else. And I hope that I can take you all on my journey in some way.

Wishing you a fantastic 2026 – may it be filled with wonderful watch experiences and horological happiness!
