Breguet Type XXI Transatlantique

Breguet are known for their grand complications, tourbillons and precious metals, but with a long historical association with aviation, it’s only fitting that they should find space in their range for a steel pilot’s watch.
 
In the 1950’s Breguet was one of only five watch manufacturers to supply watches to the French military, using the Type XX and Type XXI models.  In 1995 Breguet reintroduced these watches into the collection using a modern, sporty and elegant design.
 
This reference 3810 features a 42mm case – the rotating bezel is finished in brushed steel and the polished case is decorated with an elaborate coin-edge design along the sides. 
 
The dial is made from ruthenium and as such, provides a rich grey-brown colour. White markings allow for high legibility, despite the obvious complications, including a flyback chronograph, date window, and 24-hour display. The latter is situated within a sub-dial at 3 o’clock and decorated with a beautiful horizontal pattern. 
 
Powering the watch is Breguet’s calibre 584Q movement, offering a power reserve of 48 hours.
 
We are excited to present this 2007 watch in a very good pre-owned condition, fitted with a brand-new black alligator strap.
It comes as a full set, supplied with a beautiful presentation box, warranty certificate, instructions and swing tag. 
 
The movement has been tested by a watchmaker and found to be running well, and as such, we are pleased to supply the watch with a six-month warranty.
