Breitling Callistino

Move over vintage, neo-vintage is the next big thing! Combining iconic designs with modern reliability, watches from the early 1980s to the late 1990s also offer fantastic value for money for today’s watch collectors.
 
Breitling created the Chronomat in 1984, in response to a request from the Italian Frecce Tricolori Jet Team for a new watch. It needed to be mechanically accurate and extremely durable. The pilots had mentioned that previous watch crystals cracked when they accidentally knocked them against the aircraft, and as such, Breitling designed four riders, or tabs, around the bezel to protect the crystal. 
 
The Chronomat became a core range in Breitling’s collection, and they created many watches with that same design aspect, including this Callistino.
 
The 28mm steel case is adorned with four 18ct gold rider tabs and a gold-plated crown. The rich blue dial features a sunburst finish in the center, and along with the gold indices and hands, playfully catches the light.  
 
Powering the watch is a Swiss quartz movement, meaning that the watch is ready to go as soon as you are, ideal for today’s busy lives.
 
We are excited to present this watch in a very good pre-owned condition, paired with a brand-new lizard strap. The watch has also had a recent battery change and replacement seals, and as such is supplied with a six-month warranty.
