Breitling Navitimer B01 Chrono 46

 
The Breitling Navitimer is one of the world’s most iconic watches, first introduced in 1952 as a pilot’s instrument. It’s circular slide rule enables the wearer to perform vital calculations, such as fuel consumption and airspeed, with an easy turn of the bezel.
 
Seventy years on, the watch remains an aviation icon, and in 2022, Breitling released this reference AB0137, featuring Breitling’s in-house B01 movement.
We are delighted to bring to the market this 2023 watch, supplied as a full set with its original box, papers and a Breitling 5-year warranty valid until July 2028.
 
The 46mm steel case allows the wearer to make the most of that striking chronograph dial. Silver sub dials contrast against the black, and lumed hands and indices allow for legibility in low light. The highlight for me is the AOPA “wings” logo – a celebration of Breitling’s involvement with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association for whom Willy Breitling created the Navitimer in 1952.
 
Despite its larger sized case, short lugs make this watch comfortable to wear, aided by the 7-link Navitimer bracelet. However, this watch would also suit any number of straps.
 
Through an exhibition case back, you can view Breitling’s in-house B01 automatic movement, which is Chronometer-certified and offers an impressive 70-hour power reserve.
 
This truly iconic piece would make a wonderful addition to any watch collection.
