Bremont "Battle of Britain" Spitfire & Hurricane Limited Edition Set

We are excited to offer an incredible opportunity to own one of Bremont’s rarest limited edition sets. Two watches, each created to honour two special aircraft that played a defining role in the Battle of Britain – the Supermarine Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane.
 
Released in 2020, the set commemorates the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, and as such is limited to just 80 sets worldwide. 
 
The two watches are uniquely different from each other, yet both carry the distinctive aviation style that Bremont are known for. 
 
The Spitfire is based on Bremont’s ALT1-ZT, much-loved for its tool-like design and useful features such as a chronograph and rotating internal bezel offering a second time zone. The 43mm Trip-Tick® steel case has a black DLC-treatment giving it a stealthy aesthetic, and the predominantly black dial takes design cues from the Smith clocks found in the cockpits of the Spitfire. Turning the watch over reveals a stamped profile of the Supermarine Spitfire on the closed case back, and underneath the watch is powered by the automatic BE-54AE chronometer movement, offering a 42-hour power reserve.
 
The Hurricane has a slightly more traditional design, inspired by the cockpit clocks of the Hawker Hurricane. The 40mm steel case features a smooth bezel and with the minute track and red seconds hand, give the watch more of a vintage feel. This extends to the brown vintage-style pilot’s leather strap, which is both striking and comfortable.
 
We are excited to present this set in excellent condition, showing only light signs of wear. The movements have been tested and found to be running well, and as such we are pleased to supply the watches with a 6-month warranty. 
 
The two watches are displayed in a beautiful wooden presentation box, along with fascinating booklets giving details of these special watches and the aircrafts they are made to celebrate.  
 
With only 80 sets produced, these two watches would appeal to the collector who is not only a keen watch enthusiast and enjoys rare examples, but one who has a passion for historical aviation as well.
