Bremont "Hawking" Limited Edition

From the first moment that Bremont put a piece of an airplane into a watch, they knew that they were onto something special. As watch enthusiasts, we love mechanics and history. We love that this machine on our wrists tells the time, based on centuries old clockmaking techniques, dating back to ancient Egyptian astronomers.
 
It seems only fitting then, that Bremont might make a watch to celebrate one of the most important theoretical physicists and cosmologists of our generation, Stephen Hawking.
 
The design is both striking yet paired back - a simple black and silver aesthetic is brought to life with a double date window and 120° arc retrograde 30 seconds sub dial. The centre of the dial is decorated with a subtle ‘black hole’ spiral etching.
 
Turning the watch over, the case back is a real celebration of Professor. It features four wooden discs, taken from the desk at which Hawking worked. There is also a piece of meteorite, symbolising our link to the greater universe. Limited to just 388 pieces, the serial number is printed on paper from “The nuts and bolts of gravity”, the 1979 seminal research paper written by Hawking.
 
All of this history is housed in Bremont’s iconic 41mm Trip-Tick® steel case. A smooth bezel gives the watch a dressier feel, giving a nod to its importance, and is paired with an elegant black alligator strap. Fitted to the strap is a Bremont steel folding clasp, but also supplied is a Bremont steel pin buckle.

We are pleased to present this watch in excellent condition, showing very little evidence of wear. It comes supplied in a beautiful presentation box and leather case, and along with its paperwork, comes with a specially produced key ring and mechanical pencil.
 
The movement has been tested and found to be running well, and as such we are happy to supply this watch with a 6-month warranty.
