Cartier Santos Galbée

Few watch designs are as instantly recognisable as the Cartier Santos. Originally created in 1904 for the pilot Alberto Santos-Dumont, it is often thought of as one of the earliest wristwatches and remains a cornerstone of Cartier’s watchmaking identity more than a century later.
 
The Santos Galbée softens the lines of the original model while retaining its unmistakable character. This reference 1567 perfectly captures that balance, combining the elegance of Cartier jewellery design with the practicality of an everyday wristwatch.
 
The compact 24mm steel and yellow gold case wears beautifully on the wrist, its curved profile and integrated bracelet giving the watch a smooth, fluid appearance. Signature details remain throughout, from the exposed screws on the bezel to the blue sapphire cabochon crown, elements that have become synonymous with the Santos collection.
 
The white dial is classic Cartier, featuring crisp black Roman numerals, a minute track, and elegant blued steel hands. 
 
Fitted to a matching steel and gold bracelet with a concealed clasp, the watch has a seamless, jewellery-like quality on the wrist while remaining unmistakably sporty in character. Powering the watch is a reliable quartz movement.
 
This 2012 watch is presented in a good pre-owned condition with light scratches to the case and bracelet, and there is the option to get the watch refinished if you wish.
 
It comes supplied with its original presentation box, instruction booklet and original purchase receipt. The watch also has paperwork from a full service carried out by Cartier in 2019, and following a recent battery change by a Cartier-trained watchmaker, we are happy to supply the watch with a 6-month warranty.
