Alfred Dunhill started to produce horological instruments in 1904 when he launched a removable dashboard clock. Since that date, A. Dunhill continued to include timepieces in his creations, such as lighters, writing instruments and belt buckles.

In 1936 A.Dunhill launched the first Facet watch, inspired by an interior lamp that Dunhill himself designed and supplied to Rolls Royce.

This CityTamer, released in 2006 and limited to 1,500 pieces, remains faithful to those original elegant designs. It features a two-piece steel case and the iconic faceted crystal which causes the light to dance on the textured silver dial. The art-deco inspiration extends to the polished batons and “12” numeral and a discreet window at 3 o’clock displays the date; predominately in black text with the numbers 28 to 31 printed in red.

Powering the watch is a reliable ETA Calibre 2671 automatic movement, partially visible through a window in the case back. The case back itself is playfully decorated with an image of a British Bulldog.

We are excited to present this rare watch in an excellent pre-owned condition with its original presentation box and paperwork. It is paired with a black crocodile leather strap and steel folding clasp which itself displays a “D” for Dunhill when fastened shut.
