Glycine Airman SST 12

 The Glycine Airman is the ultimate pilot’s watch. Released in 1955 following a conversation between a Glycine executive and a First Officer, discussing the requirements of airline pilots.

The Airman has been in production ever since, and this model SST-12 retains many of the original features of its ancestors. 

It features a matt black 24-hour dial with an orange GMT hand to indicate a second time zone. A third time zone can be tracked using the 24-hour rotating steel bezel operated by the crown at 2 o’clock.

The steel 43mm case wears well on the wrist and features a steel case back, decorated with an embossed design of a supersonic Concorde jet with a polished relief and a satin grey background. With a water resistance of 200m, this piece would make a fantastic everyday watch.

Powering the watch is the much-loved Swiss ETA 2893-2, a reliable automatic movement.

A mesh-style bracelet works well with the style of the watch and an adjustable clasp fitting ensures maximum comfort.
