Grand Seiko "White Birch"

We are excited to bring to the market this 2021 Grand Seiko White Birch. Presented in a like-new condition showing no signs of wear, it has recently undergone a full service and refinishing of the Zaratzu case and bracelet by Grand Seiko in Japan. As such, it is covered by a service warranty to June 2026, in addition to being supplied with its original box and paperwork, and an extra Grand Seiko alligator strap and folding clasp.
 
Grand Seiko are renowned for drawing design inspiration from Japanese nature and this fondly named “White Birch” captures the beauty of the forests surrounding their Shizukuishi studio.
 
The finish of the silvery-white dial really gives a sense of depth, initially catching your eye and then slowly drawing you further in to appreciate the bark-like texture. It truly is quite emotive. 
 
Highly polished hands and indices have contrasting brushed recesses, allowing for legibility in different lights.
 
The case is based on the Evolution 9 model, and with a diameter of 40mm and a thickness of just 11.7mm, is extremely wearable. It is exquisitely finished with Grand Seiko’s Zaratsu polishing, and alongside hairline brushing, successfully evokes a sense of luxury without the use of precious metals
 
Through an exhibition case back you can view Grand Seiko’s High Beat Calibre 9SA5 movement, featuring 36,000 vibrations per hour, 47 jewels, twin barrels, and a Dual Impulse Escapement, it offers an 80-hour power reserve, an accuracy of +8 to -1 seconds per day and that smooth sweeping seconds hands that we’ve come to know and love. 
 
Fitted to the watch is a steel bracelet with a three-fold clasp, suitable for everyday wear. However, for an alternative look the watch is also supplied with a dark blue Grand Seiko alligator strap with folding clasp.
