Habring² Dead Second Foudroyante Piece Unique
Independent Austrian brand Habring2 started making watches in 2004 and with production at only about 200 pieces a year, it’s not often that you get an opportunity to purchase one, let alone a piece unique.
This special Dead Second Foudroyante was produced for its original owner in a dial configuration that has never before been used for this model – a beautiful brushed blue with applied indices and a silver subdial.
The subdial features the foudroyante or “flashing seconds”. It’s a direct indication of the rotation of the escape wheel, showing every single oscillation of the regulating organ, as the “flashing second hand” or “foudroyante hand” rotates once per second on a sub-dial around its own axis.
This watch also features a dead beat seconds, a complication which offers a “tick” in contrast to the usual sweep of a mechanical watch.
Habring2’s manual-wind A11F movement is housed in a 42mm steel case, paired with a smart blue sailcloth strap.
We are excited to present this watch in an excellent condition, supplied with its original box and papers, including service parts (gaskets, hands etc).
