Horage Supersede GMT

Swiss brand Horage were founded in 2007, and although you may know them as a watch company, they have made designing, engineering, and creating watch movements their main priority. For the past fifteen years, they have produced and developed a number of movements, including a tourbillon and in the case of this Supersede, a GMT with a micro-rotor.
 
The same level of care and attention has been applied to the design of the cases and dials. Made from 904L steel and offering 200m of water resistance, the case is predominantly satin-brushed with beautiful bevelled edges. The bezel has both a brushed and polished finish and an easy-to-grip knurled edge. The lugs of the 39.5mm case curve around your wrist and at just 10mm thick, it slips under a cuff, too.

Yet the despite its slim profile, the watch still has a strong presence on the wrist with its clean black dial. The batons and hands are generously filled with Super LumiNova®, with the exception of a skeletonised GMT hand, a red day/night hand on the display at 9 o’clock and a white hand for the discreet power reserve at 12 o’clock.
 
The power reserve of the K2 movement is an impressive 70 hours. The movement also features a tungsten micro-rotor, silicon spring & escapement, screw balance regulation, hand finished Côtes de Genève & quadratic black gold bridge. And it’s COSC-certified, too!

The bracelet looks fantastic with its brushed finish and polished centre links and feels very well made. This extends to the clasp with a 10mm micro-adjustment – something you don’t realise how much you need it until you have it. The watch is also supplied with an Horage orange rubber strap for a more relaxed look.
 
The packaging supplied with the watch is the most impressive I’ve seen for a long time. A clear plastic case offers easy storage and a leather pouch for trips away. You can find a bracelet tool too, so that you can adjust the watch yourself. Also supplied is a COSC-certificate, instructions, and a International Guarantee which covers the watch to July 2025.
