Kollokium Projekt–01 Variant "B"

You may not have heard of the watch brand Kollokium, but that might be because they don’t consider themselves a watch brand, but more of a project-based platform, exploring new possibilities in watchmaking.
 
This Projekt-01 is just that, their first endeavour, which combines neo-brutalist design with a very wearable wristwatch.
 
The 40mm steel case is made from die-cast steel, a process not usually used with watches, but it gives an industrial aesthetic. This is counteracted by its smooth finish, curved lines and lightweight feel. Short lugs aided by an elasticated strap make this watch extremely comfortable to wear.
 
The real talking point is the striking, pixelated dial. The 468 cylindrical elements, which come in six different heights and diameters, can cause some confusion. But much like an optical illusion, it soon comes into focus to reveal a familiar watch dial with 12 markers. The blacked-out hour and minute hands ensure legibility, and along with the dial, feature white Super-LumiNova, which offers an additional element of fun in low light.
 
To truly appreciate the complexity of the dial, the wearer can peek through the side of a boxed sapphire crystal – I can only describe it as looking into a miniature city.
 
Underneath an informative case back (“Basically, a Swiss made watch that can get wet.”), the watch is powered by an automatic La Joux-Perret G101 movement, offering an impressive 68-hour power reserve.
 
This Variant B model is limited to just 199 pieces and I think is one of the most interesting watches that I’ve had the pleasure of handling.
 
We are excited to present it in an excellent condition, having only been worn on a handful of occasions. It comes supplied as a full set, include a Kollokium 3-year warranty to June 2027.
