The Cellini, named after the Italian goldsmith and sculptor Benvenuto Cellini, has held its position as a classic dress watch within the Rolex catalogue for nearly 60 years. It favours simple lines and clean dials over fussier, bulkier dive watches.
 
This reference 6111/8 may only be 26mm, yet holds a lot of charm within its slim 18ct gold case. The mother-of-pearl dial looks mostly silver, then catches the light with subtle flashes of pink and green. Eleven Arabic hour markers, made from 18ct yellow gold, sit alongside the iconic Rolex crown at 12 o’clock.
 
The watch is paired with a brand-new brown leather strap, fitted with an 18ct yellow gold Rolex pin buckle. With its pale dial, the watch would be well-suited to a variety of straps to match your mood, from earthy tones to brighter colours.
