Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon

When TAG Heuer unveiled the Heuer 02T movement, it marked a significant moment for modern Swiss watchmaking. By combining a COSC-certified automatic chronograph with a flying tourbillon—traditionally one of horology’s most complex complications—the brand challenged long-held expectations of what such a watch could be. 
 
This reference CAR5A8Y is a fine the perfect vessel to house such a striking movement. The skeletonised dial allows the wearer to fully appreciate the mechanism, with the one-minute flying tourbillon constantly rotating at 6 o’clock. Contrasting sub-dials at 3 and 9 o’clock maintain legibility, while luminous hands and markers ensure legibility in all conditions. 
 
The 45mm titanium case has a black PVD coating, giving it an industrial feel, and a titanium and ceramic bezel perfectly frames the open-work dial. 100m of water resistance ensures that this complicated watch still remains a practical sports chronograph. 
 
Through an exhibition case back, you can view the in-house Calibre Heuer 02T movement from another angle. Alongside the flying tourbillon, the movement offers a column-wheel chronograph, COSC-certification and a 72-hour power reserve. 
 
In keeping with the sporty aesthetic, the watch is offered with both a black perforated rubber strap, and a black alligator-effect rubber strap, both of which fit to the titanium black PVD folding clasp. 
 
This 2017 watch is presented in an excellent condition, with only very light signs of wear. It comes supplied as a full set with its presentation box, warranty card, chronometer certification, instruction booklet, and accompanying service documentation. It has been maintained by TAG Heuer, with the most recent service carried out in 2026, meaning that the watch benefits from a service warranty valid until February 2028.
