Tag Heuer Monaco Green Dial Limited Edition

Few watches are as instantly recognisable as the TAG Heuer Monaco. Introduced in 1969, it was one of the world's first automatic chronographs and stood apart with its bold square case and left-field design. Its place in watchmaking history was cemented a few years later when Steve McQueen wore a Monaco in the film Le Mans, turning it into one of the most iconic motorsport watches ever produced.
 
This reference CBL2116 celebrates another chapter in the Monaco's racing heritage. Released in 2021 and limited to just 500 pieces, it was created to mark the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, one of the world's most celebrated historic racing events.
 
The distinctive 39mm steel case has a reassuring presence on the wrist, and the brushed and polished finishes add a luxury feel to a sporty wristwatch.
 
The highlight, however, is the dial. A striking shade of green, it shifts dramatically with the light, going from almost black to shades of vibrant emerald. Steel hands and indices, along with white markings, allow for excellent legibility. A discreet date window at six o'clock keeps the dial balanced without distracting from the overall design.
 
Through an exhibition case back, you can view TAG Heuer’s in-house Calibre Heuer 02 automatic chronograph movement. It offers an impressive 80-hour power reserve thanks to its modern column-wheel architecture, making it one of the brand's most accomplished chronograph movements.
