Tag Heuer Monaco Green Special Edition
Heuer have been making timepieces since 1860 and in 1969 they were one of a handful of watch manufacturers racing to produce the first automatic chronograph. They went on to put the movement into their Autavia, Carrera and Monaco models, with the Monaco famously worn by Steve McQueen in the classic race film Le Mans.
The Monaco has remained a must-loved watch since that moment, with its iconic square case. This 2021 watch is limited to 500 pieces and celebrates the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique.
The dial is a striking shade of green, appearing predominantly black and then flashing emerald when it catches the light. It’s well-balanced with chronograph sub-dials at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock and a subtle date window at 6 o’clock.
The 39mm square case is bold, with brushed and polished surfaces. Through an exhibition case back, you can view the Calibre Heuer 02 automatic movement, offering an impressive 80-hour power reserve.
The watch is supplied with both a black alligator strap with a folding clasp and a steel bracelet. It comes supplied in a very good pre-owned condition and the case remains unpolished, with an option for it to be polished if preferred.
Along with its full set of box and papers, the watch comes with a six-month warranty supplied by Watch Concierge Services.
