Vintage Heuer Carrera
The 1960’s were a golden era for sports chronographs and for Heuer, meant a takeover by Jack Heuer in 1962. The Carrera was released a year later in 1963, offering a legible chronograph that 60 years on, remains a much-loved icon.
This reference 3647S is a truly charming example of vintage Carrera. Its silver dial has a beautiful sunburst finish with subtly catches the light and the twin registers display a constant seconds subdial and a minute recorder.
The steel case is 35mm in diameter, meaning it wears well on any wrist, and sleek lugs give the watch an elegant feel. Powering the watch is a Valjoux 92 manual wind movement, which underwent a full service two years ago and is running well.
The watch is paired with a period-correct black leather rally strap, fitted with a steel Heuer pin buckle.
We are excited to present this special watch in an excellent vintage condition showing some signs of wear consistent with its age. It comes supplied with a delightful letter of authenticity, details of its previous service and a six-month warranty.
